Rowan now likes to walk around the house with one of two blankets, this one or one his grandma norton gave him. He doesn't necessarily need it when he sleeps or when we are out and about, but if he sees it in the house he'll grab it and start to take it with him wherever he goes. He's even pulled it out through the bars on his crib. He's getting smart! Today he was trying to open the door - if only he was a little taller! He's really cute. I love this kid.

oh Christmas tree!

Christmas trees make me happy.
This is sitting in the house right now, so, I am really happy.

Our good friend Jaime's dad cuts down trees every year, and he offered to cut one down for us! Of course we took him up on his generous offer! Our beautiful, delicious smelling tree was delivered last night. Oh how I love it. Now the morning of the 25th can't arrive soon enough! I have lovely memories from my childhood of Christmas mornings. My mom would leave the lights on the tree on all night so that when we came out in the morning it was pretty and glowing. And of course there were more presents under the tree that no one had seen before. Twas a sweet sight. Anyways, you'll know what we'll be doing today and tomorrow, let the decorating begin!

do I go private??

Here is a story I got from a blog friend's private blog. It definitely is making me consider making my blog private...
*******************************************
I feel the need to share this with all my blogging pals, especially those of you with public blogs. Yikes!

So today I was on the phone with my sister and she told me something that really creeped me out. She recently posted pictures of my nephew’s baptism on her blog. A couple days later she received a really disturbing comment from a woman who wrote that someone had been pretending to be her and my brother-in-law for several months and to email for more information.

Well, after emailing this woman, my sister found out that some random guy has been accessing dating sites, pretending to be my brother-in-law. He took a lot of pictures of my nephews from my sister’s blog and sent them to these women claiming they were his sons.

It gets worse… my sister hasn’t updated her blog in a while, so recently this guy started saying that my sister was killed and that he was now a poor widower with three boys. So twisted, just thinking about it makes me sick.

The whole thing was revealed when my sister posted about my nephew’s baptism and the women realized she was still alive.

Anyways, I’ve heard several creepy blog-stalking stories, but none have hit this close to home. It makes me worried about my nephews and that much more protective of my girls. Before this I was on the fence when it came to private blogs, now I’m all about 'em.
**********************************************
Needless to say, I am might go private soon. Have any of you heard any other creepy stories like this?

Rowan walked around like this for a good 10-15 minutes tonight. hilarious. he's never been a binky kid, but after he found this one amongst all our junk he took quite a liking to it. i even tried to put it in his mouth the right way at one point, but he quickly switched it back to how he had it. what a funny kid. i love him.

** and yes, the ring around his collar in the second photo is all drool.**
